In the dawn there is you
Drawn in gold, unique hue
Shining as a dance of stars
Limbs in long embrace
I’m mouthing all my joy
Smile as I taste
You come of deep earth
A stretch of solid ground
We crescent from the raindrop
We kiss to breath moons down
On an ocean of sunrise
You spark fire out your hands
Reflection in our eyes
My venus your warm land
Traveling for miles
Further than we think we can
Where the stars fly and the hearts lend

Fly
From the TV a false preacher shouting a set of backwards psalms
Outside our window a backdrop of midnite city sprawl.
The castle we lay in, is 1000 feet tall
We cry out as angels, chasing devils as they fall…
We run the foggy moon sky
Touch to speak in tongues on high
Hold me close with ur inner wings
In one more breath…we fly.
